  • Inspired by an iconic Woody Pirtle poster, I collaborated with Scenic Hudson—a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to preserving the Hudson River and its surrounding landscapes—to develop a cohesive visual identity, encompassing both static and animated imagery, for the launch of stoptheplant.org. This platform serves as a virtual rallying point, organizing and opposing the construction of the Danskammer power plant on the banks of the Hudson River in the Mid-Hudson region of New York State.

Danskammer formally withdrew its application to build the plant in June 2024.

Woody Pirtle

Woody Pirtle was an acclaimed American graphic designer known for his bold, thought-provoking poster designs and impactful visual communication. As a key figure in contemporary design, Pirtle has contributed significantly to social and environmental causes throughout his career.

With his permission, I was allowed to adapt his design made for the "Stop St. Lawrence Cement" protest movement to the effort to prevent the construction of the Danskammer plant.
