When the pandemic shut down in-person adult education, the Brooklyn Public Library still had free online literacy tools available. They just needed a way to reach the New Yorkers who needed them most. The challenge was making a public service announcement feel warm and accessible rather than institutional. We used the shifting light of a single day as the narrative structure, moving from morning through night as a metaphor for fitting learning into everyday life.
