I created a 30-second animation for the Brooklyn Public Library’s Adult Learning programs. With the pandemic forcing online classes, I aimed to inform New Yorkers that the library still offers free literacy tools. I designed an engaging PSA to raise awareness about the program and its resources.
Due to time constraints, I used mostly static scenes with minimal movement to highlight key elements. Sound design established an urban atmosphere, immersing the viewer and maintaining momentum as the main character navigates her day.
Moodboards
During the exploratory phase, I presented moodboards to establish not only what the setting would be like and my general illustrative approach, but also to explore the idea of using the differing qualities of light throughout the day as a way of structuring the narrative.
