Process

Here's how a project actually comes together. As a solo creator, I bring in trusted collaborators when a project calls for it — but every project runs through one point of view, start to finish.

What follows is a detailed breakdown for commissioning animated content specifically, but the early steps — discovery, concept, feedback — apply to any project we work on together.

1. Brief & Research

Every project starts with a conversation about the idea behind it — what you're trying to say, who needs to hear it, and what success looks like. That conversation shapes everything that follows.

2. Script & Concept

Before anything moves, it has to be written. We'll shape the concept together and turn it into a script — yours if you've already got one, built from scratch if you don't.

3.  Moodboards

A few moodboards — think Pinterest board, not pitch deck — narrow down the art style, color, and visual direction that fits your brand.

4. Storyboards

Storyboards lay out the script scene by scene. This is where we catch problems early — if the story doesn't work here, it won't work in motion.

5.  Styleframes & Visual Design

This is where the look comes together. Based on your feedback so far, I'll build 2-3 full-color scenes showing exactly what the finished video will look like. Once you sign off, I move into final visuals — characters, type treatments, backgrounds, everything.

Four thumbnail images in a grid with a cursor pointing at the top left one, which shows a generic person icon, the top right shows a person icon with a landscape background, the bottom left displays bar graph icons, and the bottom right has a person icon with abstract shapes.

6. Voice Over

The right voice can make or break a video. We'll select from a pool of professional talent to find the one that fits your message.

7.  Animation & Sound Design

With everything approved, animation begins — timing visuals to the voiceover, layering in sound and music. We'll review together and refine until it's right.

Throughout the process, you'll always know where things stand. The goal is simple: a finished video that says exactly what it needs to say.
